Rapoi at Takanini is a comprehensive project between Classic Developments, Classic Builders and Classic Property. Using our inhouse group capabilities allows for a consistent approach to achieving the vision for this land right through to completion.

Previously zoned for single housing on lots of 600m2, Classic Developments proposed a revised density plan to council, to make the lots smaller and allow for more housing to meet the current demands on housing supply and affordability in Auckland.

Through a consultation period with the local community, Iwi and a hearing procedure, the consent was granted, and the development is now set to provide 82 terraced houses.

Classic Developments have been involved from the acquisition of land and are responsible for all earthworks, civil works, urban planning, infrastructure, and roading construction for the subdivision.

The land was historically Kauri swamps, resulting in largely peaty ground with Kauri stumps embedded throughout. We excavated the stumps to provide level and clear sites for Classic Builders to have the best housing outcome.

The site is currently under development with civil works commencing in the 2021/22 summer season.
